Who we are

Vibecode Vegas is a Las Vegas community that organizes events for builders, creators, and people interested in technology. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to hello@vibecodevegas.com.

Information we collect

  • Contact details such as your name, email address, and optional phone number.
  • Account information supplied by Clerk or a login provider, including a provider identifier and verified email address.
  • Event activity such as registrations, check-ins, ticket codes, ticket redemption, and newsletter preferences.
  • Consent records, including when and where you subscribed and the wording shown to you.
  • Basic technical information such as IP address, browser or device information, and security logs.
  • Messages and other information you voluntarily send to us.

How we use information

We use information to operate events, authenticate users, issue and redeem digital tickets, prevent duplicate or fraudulent check-ins, send transactional messages, provide requested newsletters, maintain attendance records, improve the service, protect its security, and comply with legal obligations.

How we share information

We share information only as needed with service providers that operate the service, including Clerk for authentication, Neon for database hosting, Resend for email, and Vercel for application hosting. A social login provider processes information under its own privacy terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business reorganization with appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal information for money and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Nevada residents may submit a verified request directing us not to sell covered information using the email address above.

Cookies and online activity

We and Clerk use cookies or similar storage needed for authentication, security, and core site operation. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies or allow advertising companies to track your activity across unrelated websites through this service.

Email choices

Ticket, verification, security, and check-in emails are transactional. Marketing emails are optional and require confirmation. You may unsubscribe through any marketing email. Unsubscribing does not prevent necessary transactional messages.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, document attendance and consent, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You may ask to review, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, or ask questions about our practices, by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and some information may be retained where legally permitted or required.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information to us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted here with a revised effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the service or by email.
